Dear Parent/Guardian(s),
We are pleased to extend an opportunity for summer counseling services to support our students. A team of NPS School Psychologists, School Social Workers, Counselors and Student Assistance Coordinators are planning and facilitating free virtual group counseling sessions for students going into grades 1-12.
Lower Elementary Group (Grades 1-3)
Dates: Week of July 20 through Week of August 24: Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Upper Elementary Group (Grades 4-6)
Dates: Week of July 20 through Week of August 24: Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Middle School Group (Grades 7-8)
Dates: Week of July 20 through Week of August 24: Thursdays at 1 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
High School Group (Grades 9-12)
Dates: Week of July 20 through Week of August 24: Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Sessions will focus on building coping skills and resiliency in students, with activities differentiated for the developmental stage of the group, in the areas of: emotion regulation, optimism, self-esteem, social relationships, identifying supports, problem solving, and goal setting.
Please complete this form to register your child for 6 sessions of group counseling. The DEADLINE for registration is Thursday July 17th, 2020 at 11:59pm. Space is limited to ten students per counseling group through registration on the Google form. However, if your child is unable to register for the summer sessions, we hope to run additional groups in the fall and will keep your name on a waiting list.
