Welcome back from Spring Break! Today, we wanted to share some information with you on a number of topics.

District News

In an effort to keep the public updated on school news, we have expanded the Superintendent's Corner to include all district presentations.

The link below will bring you to this page and includes videos from previous Board of Education topics including the Community Survey and District Calendar, Social Emotional Learning and the Preschool Expansion Program. As more information is shared, this area will be updated to highlight much of the work that is happening in-district. It will also include information to support educational conversations throughout the community.

PreSchool Information

Recently, we have been receiving questions about our preschool initiative, especially pertaining to year two, the 2023-24 school year. Much of the information requested can be found in the recording from the March Board of Education Meeting. A direct link can be found here: Link to Preschool Information

School Performance Reports

Lastly, the NJDOE has recently released the School Performance Reports based on data from the 2021-22 school year.  The School Performance Reports reflect the New Jersey Department of Education’s (NJDOE) commitment to providing parents, students and school communities with a large variety of information about each school and district. These reports can be used as a tool to help evaluate whether all students have equitable access to high quality education. We encourage you to use these reports to:

·                Learn more about your school and district

·                Start conversations with school community members and ask questions

·                Engage with school communities to identify what schools are doing well and where they can improve

Please be aware that the data for dual enrollment and industry value credential are not correct in this year’s report. Nutley offers several dual enrollment opportunities, through Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, and Kean University. Our high school students also have opportunities to earn industry valued credentials in the areas of career and technical education, as well as the health sciences.

The school performance reports are also linked to our website, and can be found here, mid-way down on the Office of Curriculum and Instruction Page (linked below). Also, the family guides are attached and will help you better understand the reports. Office of Curriculum and Instruction
