Each district that receives American Rescue Plan  Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief ARP ESSER) funds had to develop a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services for all schools (Safe Return Plan) and make it publicly available on the district website by June 24, 2021.

The Updated Plan for Fall 2021, with the few revisions highlighted in red, is attached for your review.

This updated plan will also be posted to the district website. In addition to to detailing the updated Safe Return To In-Person Instruction plan, the ARP/ESSER funding update for learning loss, mental health, and infrastructure will be presented at the Board of Education meeting on August 23, 2021, beginning at 6:30 PM in the JH Walker Middle School choir room for the Board of Education and administration to receive any additional public comment.

Because we know not everyone is able to attend the public meeting, we invite you to submit your comments to:  ReentryPlan@NutleySchools.org. Comments will be accepted through 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Translation, or accommodations pursuant to the Americans With Disabilities Act can be provided to any parent or community member who needs assistance to read, understand, or receive the Plan.  Please contact ReentryPlan@NutleySchools.org for support.

We are looking forward to detailing the updated Plan for the district's return to full-day, full capacity in-person instruction Fall 2021, including the ARP/ESSER expenditures at the BOE meeting.
