The Van Riper House was built in 1708 and enlarged in 1788. It was the home of John Abraham Van Riper, who served as a private in the Essex County militia during the Revolutionary War. Mr. Rosati's Archeology classes participate on site survey at The Van Riper House. Here are a few photos.Â
