At last night’s Board of Education meeting, Mrs. Jackie Devore was appointed to the role of Lincoln School Principal, effective September 1, 2024. Mrs.
JHWMS invites you to join us at Seventh Grade Orientation to meet some of your teachers and other members of your group on Wednesday, August 28th at 8:30 a.m. The orientation will last about an hour and is for students only.
Seventh graders should enter the building from the gymnasium entrance, which can be accessed from Hillside Crescent. During orientation, you will meet classmates and teachers as well as learn about important expectations and procedures with our Vice Principal, Mr. Johnston and Principal, Mr. Materia.

The Charles Seller Foundation is a local charity, which raises money for children with high medical expenses. This year the organization has chosen recent Nutley graduate, Nelson Matos, as the beneficiary of their summer production of Godspell.

On July 23, retired JHWMS teacher, Carol Harris, visited the middle school.
Mrs. Harris, now a resident at Care One's Harmony Village in Paramus, often shares her fond memories of teaching at the middle school with her staff and friends. As a field trip, Care One transported Mrs. Harris to John Walker Middle School for a building tour, led by Principal Materia.
Mrs. Harris and the team from Harmony Village, visited the classrooms, Media Center and auditorium. They were also able to look at a yearbook from 50 years ago.
The Nutley Board of Education will hold an executive session meeting on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Nutley High School Auditorium.
After opening the meeting, the Board will go into closed executive session for an undetermined period of time for the purpose of discussing contracts.
No public action will be taken.

The Food Service Management Company Will Provide Management Services According To United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA) Regulations And Guidelines, As Well As All Other Applicable State And Federal Laws.
