Upon visiting Lincoln school today, and speaking with remediation and town officials, we will not be able to inhabit Lincoln school for this week. Working with the New Jersey Department of Education, Lincoln School has been approved for virtual instruction this week.Â
Â
Lincoln School will pivot to the state-approved virtual learning plan for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - October 11, 12, and 13.
Â
We want to thank our Lincoln staff, who met this morning, to plan for three days of virtual instruction for all students. Mrs. Benavides will communicate directly with staff and parents later today with specifics for virtual learning, including Google Meet links and more information in order to prepare for tomorrow.
Â
For students who are in need of a device or wifi, please be advised that the district will have a pickup location today from 3:15PM to 6PM at Nutley High School cafeteria.Â
Â
If you need a device and have yet to complete the below form, please do so immediately at the link below.

Â
Crews were at Lincoln today, assessing and testing the environmental air quality, and beginning remediation. The safety of our staff and students is our top priority and, at this time, all groups are working towards reopening Lincoln to staff and students on Monday, October 16th.Â
Â
As a reminder, the sixth grade camping trip is still on and details will be sent directly to those groups.Â
Â
We know the community may have questions, so we welcome any interested parents to attend a meeting tonight at 8PM in the NHS auditorium.Â
Â
We will continue to monitor the situation and will remain in touch with the Lincoln community.
Â
Thank you.Â
Â
Mr. Kent Bania
Superintendent of SchoolsÂ
