The Nutley Board of Education will reschedule the April 19, 2021 Board Meeting and Budget Hearing and now hold an Open Board Meeting and Budget Hearing at 6:30 pm April 27, 2021 in the John H. Walker Middle School Auditorium. This will be a Hybrid meeting conducted both in-person and remotely under emergency regulations N.J.A.C. 5:39 – 1.1 through 1.7. Please note that the Board of Education members will be physically present at the John H. Walker Middle School Auditorium. The public is encouraged to participate via remote means, however, there will also be accommodations for socially distanced in-person attendance.

The agenda to the extent known will be available prior to the meeting here or may be requested from the Board Secretary at ddipisa@nutleyschools.org or (973)661-3500. Members of the public will be muted during the meeting, but may speak during the designated public comment portion.  Connections will be unmuted to allow for public comment. Written public comments may also be submitted to the Board Secretary via email at publiccomments@nutleyschools.org or by mail to Secretary, Nutley Board of Education, 315 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, New Jersey 07110. Written public comments must include the individual’s name, full address and contact information, and identify the meeting they are intended for, as well any relevant resolution, if applicable. Written public comments must be received by the Board Secretary no later than 4:30 p.m. on the meeting date and will be read into the record at the end of the public comment portion. There is a three-minute time limit on all public comments.

In the interest of public health and safety, in-person attendance shall be limited to no more than 100 people, excluding the members of the Board of Education. All members of the public attending the meeting in person will be subject to social distancing and mask usage guidelines.

The Nutley School District serves approximately 4,100 students in Kindergarten through grade 12. The five elementary schools serve students K-6 and include Lincoln School, Radcliffe School, Spring Garden School, Washington School and Yantacaw School. John H. Walker Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 while Nutley High School addresses the needs of students in grades 9-12.
