The Nutley Public School District has once again been honored with the "Best Communities for Music Education” (BCME) designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement to provide music access and education to all students.  Nutley has received this award for a total of 16 years.

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, detailed questions were answered about student demographics, funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, faculty, facilities, and support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.

Thank you to our  music department at the Nutley Public Schools and the staff members who guide our students every day.  Thank you for your ongoing support of our music program and its positive influence on our community and most importantly, our students! Congratulations!
